Merluzzistan for Dummies is a mini-series created by annika for SettePerUno‘s 2009 spring/summer season. The series premieres on June 6, 2009, and will have only four episodes.
The series is set in Copenhagen, Denmark, where it was also written during May 2009. The main character was not told about her misadventures until each script was given.

Development

In May 2009 SettePerUno ordered a stand-alone pilot presentation of the project. In May 2009 the show was written, with mumblemichele coming onboard as an advice-giver and hobbit83 and deinè as raw-drafts readers. The whole writing process was supervised by blondeinside, who also worked as a drafts reader during the last phase of the project, together with valu.

Plot

The series was described by the writer and executive producer annika as “Lonely Planet meeting Un pesce di nome Merluzzo“.

Annika returns to Merluzzistan for a PhD in photonics, almost one year after her departure. Many things have changed, in the meantime, and many others have not. Lots of surprises are waiting for her, and her return to Merluzzistan marks the starting of a brand new series of weird adventures which will take her far beyond the boundaries of understanding and immagination.
